    Liberian Actor Unveiled ACF Brand Ambassador in Nigeria

    Esau Owusu Dahnsaw, a Liberian movie actor, has been unveiled as Liberia’s Brand Ambassador to the Africa Cinematography Festival (ACF).
    According to a dispatch from the Liberian Embassy in Nigeria, the Liberian actor whose stage name is ‘Major Dahnsaw’ was signed as a brand ambassador in Lagos, Nigeria earlier this week at an official press conference and unveiling ceremony at the prestigious Eko Hotels and Suites on Victoria Island.

    The ACF is a training, production enhancement, networking, technology & film expo that “unites Africa through the arts of cinematography”.
    Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, one of the richest black women in the world, is the Grand Matron of the ACF.
    According to the dispatch, the mouth-watering deal which saw Dahnsaw flown to Lagos over the weekend to attend the ceremony on Monday consummated a deal that stands till infinity.
    Veteran Nigerian film actor Ramsey Nouah and actress Liz Benson, as well as upcoming Nigerian movie-star Oghenekaro Itene, were also unveiled as the ACF's Brand Ambassadors for Nigeria.

    Brand ambassadors from South Africa, Ghana, The Gambia, Benin, Guinea, Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon were also unveiled during the ceremony.
    Presenting the brand ambassadors from the seven African countries, Mr. Sunnie Odafe, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the ACF, intimated that "a new platform to showcase African Cinema to the world and empower creative youths for their genius will be achieved through the annual festival."

    According to Mr. Odafe, the festival, although in its inaugural edition, will be held in Lagos, Nigeria, and seeks to travel across African countries desirous of hosting it every year as a means of bringing African Cinema closer to its audience than ever.
    Meanwhile, ‘Major Dahnsaw’ stands to gain surplus of career leverages as brand ambassador for the ACF that is expected to pave the way for Liberian filmmakers to register and submit their works to the annual festival.

    “This, in turn, will pave the way for the showcasing of Liberian cinema to major film festivals and awards ceremonies worldwide through the platform of the ACF”, Ambassador Dahnsaw stated.

    Since his emergence from the Next Movie Star, a reality television show in Lagos in which he finished 3rd runner-up in 2015, Dahnsaw has since remained unfazed and on a forward march with his career as a professional actor.
    At the same time, the maiden festival will hold in Lagos at six different venues from the 5th to the 11th of November, 2017.
    Slated for six days, the phenomenal knowledge transfer platform is thereafter expected to be held annually, with rotational venues across the African continent.
    Upon his return to Liberia, the ‘Most Outstanding Liberian Actor/Frank Artus Studio 2016’ is expected to provide details on how Liberian filmmakers can register to benefit from the training, expo and awards of the Africa Cinematography Festival.
