APGA Dissociates Self From Newly Formed APC

Chieftains of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) have disassociated themselves from the merger talks with some opposition political parties in the country.
A member of the party’s board of trustees, Dr. Tim Menakaya and the deputy national chairman of the party, Chris Uche, in a separate interview said the party has not taken a decision to merge with any political party and is not participating in it.
They said Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state who attended a meeting with other opposition parties did so in his private capacity and did not have the support of the party.

Four leading opposition parties, including APGA, had merged into the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday, 6th February 2013.
