After an impressive 2019, Chinese phone maker Realme is looking to go big in 2020. The device maker recently launched the Realme 5i in India and unveiled the X50 5G in its home country, and now it could be all set to add to the list a new budget offering, the Realme C3s.
This is according to the latest reports that claim the upcoming phone from Realme received certification from Thailand’s NBTC website, hinting that the phone could be nearing an imminent launch. As per the certification, the Realme C3s will bear the model number RMX2020.
However, the certification stops just there and does not reveal any specifications of Realme C3s. The certification comes after the company recently launched the Realme C2s series. The Realme C2s served as upgraded C2 with more RAM and internal storage.
Apart from this, the two phones share the same MediaTek processor, the same display and the same camera unit. Even battery capacity on the phones is the same. And it is believed the Realme C3s could follow this blueprint and bring similar specifications as the Realme C3, but improve on the RAM and storage of the phone.
The device is first expected to be launched in Thailand, and then make way to India. To recall, the company has been quite active in India over the last year or so, and recently launched the Realme 5i in the country.
Talking about the specs of the device, the Realme 5i features a 6.52-inch HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) display with a waterdrop notch. Under the hood, the phone brings with itself a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC that has been paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
In terms of cameras, the phone comes with a 12-megapixel primary camera paired to an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter to complete the quad-camera set-up on the phone.
On the front of the Realme 5i, the company has placed an 8-megapixel selfie lens. Keeping the lights on the Realme 5i is a 5,000mAh battery tasked to run this device with Android Pie based ColorOS 6.0.1 on top.
