The health officials on Thursday reported 281 new cases of coronavirus infection in 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC shared the latest updates on the contagion disease via its official website.NCDC also announced the discharge of 135 patients from hospitals across the country after tested negative to coronavirus and 19 COVID-19 patients were reported to have died due to the infection.
Active cases in Nigeria now stand at 9,427 — up from the previous day when it was at 9,286.
As of today, September 30, the country has recorded 205,765 cases of the novel coronavirus cases, while 193,617 people have recovered from the disease, and 2,720 COVID-19 fatalities have been confirmed.
Today’s reports revealed that within a 24 hour period, FCT, Lagos, Edo, Kwara and Plateau reported 111, 34, 33, 20 and 20 respectively.
Others as follows Rivers (17), Abia (10), Imo (8), Delta (7), Nasarawa (7), Ekiti (6), Akwa Ibom (3), and Oyo (2).
Today's report
includes 10 deaths reported by Delta state – 1 death on August 19th, 1 on September 9th, 2 on 10th, 1 death each on 11th, 17th and 19th,
also 2 deaths were recorded on 23rd and 1 on 24th.
Kano and Sokoto States
are the only two states without COVID-19 cases reported on Thursday.

that on September 20, 2021, NCDC COVID-19 dashboard via its website shows that the
total COVID-19 test conducted stand at 2,997,060.
On September 28, 2021, the total COVID-19 tests conducted jump to 6,040,381 and today September 30, the total test conducted dropped to 3,043,321, NCDC COVID-19 dashboard shows.
