    COVID-19: Nigeria Reports 255 New Cases, Four Deaths

    Health officials in Nigeria reported another 255 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday as well as four additional deaths related to the disease.

    The day also saw 199 discharges, as the number of active cases in the country up by 50, raising the total active cases to 9,148.

    Sunday’s report brings Nigeria's lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 204,456. That number includes 192,620 resolved cases and  2,677 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

    Nigeria Centre for Disease Control who disclosed this late Sunday said that the new cases were found in five states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    Most of the cases reported by the nation on Sunday were found in Imo, Lagos and FCT with 124, 72 and 36 respectively.

    While Rivers reported 16, Enugu had 6 and Kano had 1 case.

    NCDC added that today's report includes, backlogs of 128 confirmed cases and 40 discharged in Imo state on 20th - 26th September 2021

    Health officials also noted that zero cases were reported in Bauchi, Benue, Nasarawa, Osun and Sokoto states.
