According to the latest bulletin issued by, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, another 284 cases of the novel coronavirus with additional 9 deaths linked to the disease has been recorded in Nigeria.

The health authority’s reports also shows that 352 patients were discharged on Monday after tested negative to coronavirus.

NCDC noted that today’s report includes 101 case recoveries from Edo State include community discharge.

As of today, Nigeria has 9,597 active cases of COVID-19, dropped from 9,674 its was the previous day.

Nigeria health authority’s labs has completed 3,142,971 tests since the start of the pandemic. And above 52,857 tests has been conducted since last week Monday.

The case tally in Nigeria now stands at 207,978 , including 195,626 patients who have either been discharged or recovered and 2,756 patients have succumbed to the disease since the beginning of the outbreak.

FCT accounted for the maximum number of 67 cases out of the 284 new cases recorded in 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Followed by Kaduna with 33 fresh infections and Rivers reported 31 cases.

Other states with fresh cases, includes Anambra-23, Lagos-22, Osun-22, Cross River-18, Edo-18, Ondo-13, Plateau-12, Nasarawa-6, Kwara-5, Imo-4, Benue-3, Niger-2, Delta-1, Ekiti-1, Jigawa-1, Ogun-1 and Oyo-1.

While Bauchi and Kano are the two states on Monday with no cases reported.
