As the West African
country continues to see a decline in the number of new daily cases, the
government has warned against complacency in the fight against the pandemic.
According to the data shared
by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, the number of cumulative cases
rose to 212,947.
The health officials
also reported that the death toll in the country has risen to 2,933 as 11 more
deaths linked to the virus were recorded on Thursday, which includes backlog of 10
deaths reported from Edo State.
However, NCDC added that 205,000 COVID-19 patients have recovered from disease and discharged from hospitals across the country since the start of the pandemic. Resolved cases increased by 325 in the past 24 hours. Why active cases dropped to 5,014.
The health officials stated that today’s report includes 16 discharged cases reported from Kano State on
November 10th 2021.
And 295 discharged
cases reported from FCT are community discharges
According to
Thursday’s report, 19 cases were recorded in Lagos, 7 cases each FCT, Plateau and
Rivers.
Imo reported 5 of the new
cases, Kano had 4, Zamfara had 2, Bayelsa and Gombe recorded 1 case each.
It added that zero
cases reported from Delta, Edo and Sokoto States.
NCDC noted that in today’s
report, the 19 confirmed cases reported from Lagos State includes additional 9 on
November 10th & 10 cases for 11th.
Five confirmed cases
reported from Imo State are for November 10th.
Five confirmed cases reported from Kano State are for November 10th (1) & 11th (3).
