Redmi Note 12R Pro has been launched in China, as promised. This is the brand's new mid-range offering with 5G network support and comes as a new addition to the Redmi Note 12-series lineup.

The handset features a familiar design, with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and dual camera sensors on the back.

The Redmi Note 12R Pro ships with the Snapdragon 4 Gen1 SoC, a 120Hz OLED display, a 5,000mAh battery, and Android 13 OS.

  • Display: The Redmi Note 12R Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080×2400 pixels resolution, 240Hz touch sampling rate, and 1200 nits peak brightness.
  • Processor: The Redmi Note 12R Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen1 SoC paired with Adreno GPU.
  • RAM and Storage: The handset packs 12GB RAM and 256GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card.

  • Cameras: The Redmi Note 12R Pro features dual cameras, with a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth lens. There is a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats. 
  • Battery: The new Redmi phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
  • Others: The handset is equipped with a 3.5mm audio jack, IR Blaster, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security.
  • Connectivity: Connectivity options include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS + GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port.

The Redmi Note 12R pro costs CNY 1,999 ($289,20) in China and there is just one trim with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Storage. The phone sells in Black, White, and Gold colorways. There is no word on global availability, but we believe that it will reach other markets eventually.
