MICHAEL MALONE (Denver Nuggets coach): “Everybody, every individual, more importantly, every team collectively has to pick a path and stay true to it. I feel really fortunate that our journey has been one of patience, one of drafting really well and developing those players, and then adding the right pieces around them.”

AARON GORDON (Denver Nuggets; on Jamal Murray): “That's a Point God right there, 12 assists, no turnovers, not forcing, hitting big shots, timely shots, and really just being a floor general out there, being steady, rock solid, even when they're trapping, giving him different looks.”

NIKOLA JOKIC (Denver Nuggets; on Game 5): “I think it's not going to be emotional. It's going to be a job that we need to do to be done. I think we are ready. I think we are going to be locked in and ready to go. It's just going to be a game that we need to win.”

ERIK SPOELSTRA (Miami Heat; on Game 5): “We have just -- I've used this term before, savage competitors. They love the ultimate challenges and the ultimate competition. Some of the fiercest battles were back in training camp when we were competing and splitting up teams. We could barely get through those full-contract practices without everybody screaming at each other, yelling at the coaches that are officiating, arguing about the scores. It's that level of intensity when they are playing and competing for a score.”

JIMMY BUTLER (Miami Heat): “All the odds, 8 seed, dadadadada, nah, none of that matters. It's just two really good basketball teams. One has to get one win, and one has to get three. Let's just hope that the other that has to get three, gets three.”

KYLE LOWRY (Miami Heat): “Unfortunately, we're down 3-1. But all we've got to do is take it one possession at a time, one minute at a time, one second at a time, and just continue to do what we do, believe in that game plan, understand what the game plan is, and just be positive. At the end of the day, we've got a chance to go out there and play basketball. You've still got to go out there and put the ball in the hole and go out there and have fun.”

CALEB MARTIN (Miami Heat; on Miami’s offense) : “Yeah, we're definitely getting great looks. They're doing a great job of taking some things away from us. But I think we'll have adjustments to find ways to get our guys going. That's their job, is to take away certain things, big muscle things for us. That's been in their favor. We've got to take advantage of that. We're a great enough offensive team to where if you take something away, something has gotta give. We'll definitely find ways to be more impactful on that end for sure.”
