Artificial Intelligence (AI) has experienced a surge in global search interest, and Nigeria is no exception. Searches related to “what is AI” have increased by over 30%, while inquiries about “how to use AI” have witnessed a 40% growth.

This indicates a strong desire among Nigerians to comprehend and utilize AI for both personal and professional advancement. Notably, Nigeria currently holds the sixth position in Africa and the 25th position globally in terms of search interest in AI.

The data revealed a notable increase in searches pertaining to the application of AI for both creative and professional endeavors.

In Nigeria, trending searches encompass phrases such as “create a logo with AI,” “create a CV with AI,” “design a website with AI,” and “create slides with AI,” all of which have experienced an extraordinary surge of over 5,000 percent in interest compared to the previous year.

This trend highlights the escalating dependence on AI tools to optimize creative workflows and improve job-related functions.

Furthermore, it is evident that Nigerians are not only keen on utilizing AI in their professional activities but are also eager to deepen their understanding of the technology itself.

Searches for AI-related courses have increased by 50 percent, and frequently asked questions such as whether AI is difficult to learn, how to learn AI, and how to access resources for learning about AI indicate a strong desire to acquire skills in this field.
