On Friday, the Naira fell to N1,625 per dollar in the parallel market, down from N1,615 per dollar the previous day.

In the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), the Naira also declined to N1,598.56 per dollar, compared to N1,598.56 per dollar on Thursday.

According to data from FMDQ, the indicative exchange rate for NAFEM increased to N1,598.56 per dollar from N1,593.93 per dollar on Thursday, reflecting a depreciation of N4.62 for the Naira.

Additionally, the trading volume of dollars in the market rose by 11 percent, reaching $172.8 million, up from $155.52 million on Thursday.

As a result, the gap between the parallel market rate and the NAFEM rate expanded to N26.44 per dollar, compared to N21.07 per dollar the day before.
