Spotify is set to enhance its application on Apple devices within the European Union on Wednesday by incorporating the pricing details of its various plans and services. This update comes over three months after Apple declined to permit such changes.

The refusal was based on Spotify's non-acceptance of Apple's newly established Music Streaming Services Entitlement, which outlines the requirements for music streaming applications in the European Economic Area to inform users about alternative purchasing options.

Although Spotify has now agreed to these terms, it has decided not to provide users with an external link for purchases within its iOS app, as it aims to avoid paying Apple a commission on these transactions.

Apple has clarified that compliance with its music streaming terms does not necessitate an external payment link. In a statement, Spotify remarked, "While this is progress, it’s only a small step in the long march towards giving iPhone consumers basic product experiences they expect and deserve in their apps."

Earlier in April, Apple facilitated communication for music streaming applications on iOS devices in the EU, following a significant fine of 1.84 billion euros ($2 billion) imposed by Brussels for hindering competition against music streaming competitors through App Store restrictions.
