Tobi Amusan, the world record holder, successfully advanced to the semi-finals of the 100-meter hurdles at the ongoing 2024 Olympics in Paris on Wednesday.

Amusan topped the field of eight competitors with a time of 12.49 seconds, followed closely by Alaysha Johnson from the United States, who clocked in at 12.61 seconds, and Jamaica's Janeek Brown, who qualified with a time of 12.84 seconds.

The semi-finals are scheduled for Friday, August 9, while the final will take place on Saturday, August 10, the second-to-last day of the athletics competition.

This marks Amusan's third consecutive participation in the Olympic Games.
