Upon their arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, they were welcomed by representatives from the National Security Adviser’s office, the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and other relevant stakeholders.
Additionally, 103 Nigerians recently deported from the Republic of Turkiye were also received by NEMA and other agencies.
These deportees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Friday at 7:00 PM via the pilgrims' wing, where they were met by Federal Government officials, including NEMA personnel.
Furthermore, 264 Nigerian travelers were informed of their visa cancellations upon landing at King Abdulaziz International Airport – Hajj Terminal in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Monday, November 13, 2023.
In light of these deportations, the Federal Government of Nigeria has urged the public to remain calm and has provided assurances regarding the situation.
