The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja and the Port Harcourt International Airport in Nigeria have been acknowledged by Airport Council International (ACI Africa) for their outstanding commitment to airport emergency management and resilience.

During the Gala Night at the 33rd Annual General Assembly of ACI Africa held in Johannesburg, South Africa, both airports received plaques in recognition of their achievements.

Tunde Moshood, Special Assistant for Media and Communications to the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, announced this in a statement. The awards were presented by Ali Tounsi, the Secretary-General of ACI Africa, and Emmanuel Chaves, the President of ACI Africa.

These esteemed awards reflect the relentless dedication and effort of all individuals involved in promoting excellence in airport emergency management and resilience, particularly highlighting the contributions of the Honourable Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr. Festus Keyamo, SAN.
