Leipzig midfielder Amadou Haidara has successfully cleared the concussion protocol and resumed training in preparation for the upcoming Champions League matches next week, as announced by the club on Thursday.

Haidara was substituted during Leipzig’s 3-2 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on August 31st after sustaining a head injury from an attempted overhead kick by opponent Victor Boniface. Coach Marco Rose expressed concerns about Haidara’s confusion at the time of the incident.

Consequently, Haidara missed two international matches with the Mali national team while undergoing treatment.

Leipzig provided an official statement on [Date], confirming that Haidara “has successfully completed the necessary procedures and tests related to his concussion. He has been participating in team training sessions since the beginning of the week without encountering any issues.”

Leipzig will face Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday before commencing their Champions League campaign against Atletico Madrid on September 19th.
