On Wednesday, cybersecurity company SentinelOne announced the appointment of Barbara Larson as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately, taking over from Dave Bernhardt.

SentinelOne is aiming to capture market share from CrowdStrike following a global outage caused by a problematic software update from its larger competitor, which has prompted some clients to reconsider their choices and invest more in AI-driven cybersecurity solutions.

Larson comes to SentinelOne after spending ten years at Workday, where she served as the finance chief for the human resources software firm starting in 2022, before departing from that role a year later.

Based in Mountain View, California, SentinelOne indicated that the outgoing CFO Bernhardt will continue to serve as an advisor until the end of the year. He has been with the company since September 2020.

Last month, the cybersecurity firm raised its annual revenue projections, reflecting an increase in spending as cyber threats grow more complex amid escalating hacking activities.
