During the matriculation ceremony for 233 part-time students, Vice-Chancellor Professor Clement O. Adebooye highlighted that the program will be completed over six semesters within a 24-month timeframe.
Represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for academic research, innovation, and partnerships, Professor Adetunji Kehinde, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized that this initiative encompasses various fields, including Accounting, Building, Sociology, and other disciplines offered by the university.
He reaffirmed the institution's dedication to upholding high standards of discipline, cautioning against engagement in vices such as examination malpractice and cultism.
He stated, “I am delighted to share that our university now provides a top-up program for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders, allowing them to achieve a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in just 24 months, across six semesters. This program is available in diverse fields, including Accounting, Building, Sociology, and other disciplines offered by the university. This initiative underscores our commitment to delivering flexible and accessible education for all.
“Let me be clear: any student found participating in negative behaviors such as examination malpractice, cultism, or other forms of misconduct will face strict disciplinary measures, which may include expulsion from the university. We take great pride in our zero-tolerance stance against any actions that could damage the reputation of this esteemed institution.
“However, as part-time students, many of whom are mature individuals balancing various responsibilities, I trust that you will demonstrate exemplary behavior and remain dedicated to your academic pursuits.”
