Afrobeats musician, David Adeleke, known professionally as Davido, has achieved a new milestone by breaking the record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa. The live stream, co-hosted by popular TikTok stars Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq on October 30, attracted an impressive total of 389,800 viewers.

During the live stream, over 164,000 viewers tuned in simultaneously, demonstrating the immense popularity and engagement of Davido’s audience on the platform. Additionally, Davido received a remarkable 377 lion gifts on TikTok, with each lion valued at $400.

In a generous gesture, Davido announced that the proceeds from the lion gifts, amounting to a substantial sum, will be shared among the co-hosts Peller, Jarvis, and Jo Blaq, who played a crucial role in the success of the live stream.

Prior to Davido’s record-breaking achievement, Peller held the previous record for the most-watched TikTok live stream in Africa. Peller had set this record during a live session featuring renowned singer Tiwa Savage.
