Intel's division in China stated on Thursday that it has consistently emphasized the importance of product safety and quality. This announcement follows a call from a prominent Chinese cybersecurity organization for a security assessment of the U.S. chipmaker's products available in China.

In a statement released on its official WeChat account, the company expressed, "We will engage with the relevant authorities to address any concerns and reaffirm our dedication to product safety and quality."

A security review initiated by China's cyberspace regulator could potentially impact Intel's sales in China, which accounted for more than 25% of the company's revenue last year.
