The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC), Engr. Fidet Okhiria, has formally delegated his responsibilities to the most senior director, Mr. Iloanusi, upon the completion of his second four-year term.

Okhiria's tenure came to an end on Friday, October 18, after more than eight years in the role.

Initially appointed as acting MD, his position was later confirmed by the then President, Muhammadu Buhari, who subsequently reappointed him for an additional four years.

Mr. Iloanusi, who is now serving as the acting MD, previously held the position of Director of Public Procurement within the corporation.

During the handover ceremony, the outgoing MD expressed his gratitude to the management and staff for their support and collaboration throughout his time in office.

In a statement from the Deputy Director of Public Relations, Yakub Mahmood, the former MD encouraged the management and staff to extend the same cooperation to the acting MD.

Mr. Ben Iloanusi holds a degree in Political Science from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and an MBA in International Management from South Bank University in London.
