The 16th edition of the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON) took place on Sunday evening in Ilorin, Kwara State, where Femi Adebayo’s epic Yoruba Netflix Original, “Jagun Jagun,” stood out as one of the evening's major winners.

The film secured six awards, including Best Indigenous Film, Best Actor (Femi Adebayo), Best Production Design, Best Special Effects, Best Costume, and the Director of the Year award, which was jointly awarded to Bayo Tijani and Tope Adebayo. With a total of 12 nominations, “Jagun Jagun” was among the most nominated films of the event.

The glamorous ceremony was held at the Sugar Factory Film Studios and was hosted by renowned actress Toyin Abraham.

Among the other distinguished winners, Kanayo O. Kanayo received a lifetime achievement award, which was presented by the Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRazaq AbdulRahman, along with Aare Abisoye Fagade, the Director-General of the National Institute of Hospitality and Tourism.
