Amida Azeez has stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Pan African Towers Limited, citing the completion of his opportunity cycle with the company.

His departure concludes a two-and-a-half-year period marked by notable accomplishments, including unprecedented revenue growth, business expansion, and the recruitment of key personnel.

In a LinkedIn announcement on Friday, Amida, known as the growthpreneur, shared that he had originally planned to serve for two years but extended his tenure to two and a half years, which he described as “nothing short of amazing.”

Reflecting on his journey, he highlighted the significance of placing a high value on good health. Throughout this process, he underwent personal transformation, gaining deeper insights into himself, improving his interpersonal relationships, and emphasizing the necessity of prioritizing health.

“As I exit, I leave with a lot of gratitude, knowing the legacy we have built. We didn’t just transform the company; we also got transformed along the way. I learned even more about myself and how to relate better with people, build lasting relationships, and prioritize good health.”

Amida took the helm at Pan African Towers in April 2022, during which the company achieved significant milestones, including a fourfold increase in growth over two years. In late 2023, the company revealed it had secured strategic investments from Development Partners International (DPI) and Verod Capital, both prominent firms in African investment management, solidifying its status as Nigeria’s largest homegrown digital infrastructure provider. Amida expressed that his proudest accomplishment was cultivating a vibrant workplace culture, stating, “We’ve created one of the best workplaces in Nigeria today! This is our biggest achievement,” and he credited the commitment and shared vision of his team.

Prior to his tenure at Pan African Towers, Amida was the CEO of IHS Rwanda, where he oversaw substantial growth, adding over 250 towers and generating annual revenues of around $50 million. His extensive professional background also includes roles such as Head of Financial Planning and Treasury at Food Concepts Plc, Senior Analyst at Kaizen Venture Partners, Portfolio Manager at Meristem Securities Limited, and Executive Editor at Affinity Storm Press USA.

While Amida has not revealed his future plans, he hinted at a continued commitment to transformative leadership and strategic impact in his upcoming endeavors.
