Following the club's second defeat in the Spanish league, FC Barcelona has encountered further setbacks. Two key players, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski, will be unavailable due to injuries.

Both players are crucial to Coach Hansi Flick's strategy this season. On Monday, they underwent thorough medical evaluations. Yamal is expected to be out of action for approximately three weeks due to an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Lewandowski will require a 10-day break to address lower back issues.

Currently, Lewandowski leads La Liga with 14 goals in 13 matches, many of which were assisted by the 17-year-old Yamal, who has emerged as one of Barcelona's most potent forwards. The team has outscored its opponents 40-12 in La Liga and 15-5 in the Champions League, with Yamal contributing six goals in 15 matches across all competitions.

Barcelona's recent 1-0 loss to Real Sociedad on Sunday ended a seven-game winning streak in all competitions, although the Catalan side still holds a six-point lead over second-placed Real Madrid.

In Yamal's absence, Fermín López stepped in during the match against Sociedad, where Barcelona failed to register a single shot on target against the eighth-placed team. Lewandowski had a goal ruled out for offside.

Yamal sustained his right ankle injury during last week's 5-2 victory over Red Star in the Champions League.
