Edo Queens, the champions of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL), have achieved a significant milestone by securing an impressive N500 million in funding for their advancement to the semi-finals of the CAF Women's Champions League.

This remarkable achievement was accomplished following their triumph over South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns with a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Edo Queens topped Group B, accumulating seven points from three matches, while Egyptian team FC Masar finished as the group’s runners-up.

Under the leadership of Moses Aduku, the team is set to compete against TP Mazembe from the Democratic Republic of Congo in the semi-finals. The other semi-final will feature hosts AS FAR facing off against FC Masar.
