Nollywood actor Yul Edochie’s estranged wife, May Edochie, has addressed misconceptions regarding her personal situation, emphasizing her commitment to marriage and family principles.

In a discussion with comedian Ayo Makun, May, who endured the tragic loss of her first son last year, expressed that she does not advocate for divorce or separation, despite her own marital challenges.

She pointed out that some men have wrongly interpreted her stance as an encouragement for their wives to consider separation, but she reaffirmed her deep dedication to the importance of marriage.

“I love family, I love marriage, and I see it as the basis for family,” she explained.

“Without family, there would be no you or me. I am not in any way advocating divorce or separation; let me categorically state here that I am not an advocate of divorce.”

Additionally, May discussed her approach to personal matters, emphasizing her preference for handling issues discreetly rather than through social media.

She credits her resilience to a robust support system, encompassing her family, friends, and a dedicated online community.

“Having a positive mindset is key for me. I embrace authenticity, I do not take my personal issues to social media,” she shared. “My family and friends are always there for me, and my online family members act as a pillar, ready to stand by me.”
