This scholarship initiative is intended for senior secondary and tertiary students who are engaged in studies related to Science and Technology.
Since its inception in 2020, Nestlé has continued to provide financial support to students from host communities through this scholarship program. The assistance is aimed at covering vital expenses, including tuition fees, accommodation, uniforms, books, and other educational costs.
Nestlé is committed to ensuring that these students have the necessary resources to successfully complete their education.
It has been reported that the 2025 scholarship will support 90 students, with a total funding amount of N18 million. The application portal is currently open and will remain accessible until December 8, 2024.
Victoria Uwadoka, the Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria, emphasized the company's dedication to creating shared value.
“In a time when economic difficulties add pressure on families, we are pleased to provide substantial financial assistance that alleviates this burden. By investing in education, we not only empower students but also contribute to the growth of our communities,” she stated.
The announcement of the 2025 scholarship program comes on the heels of the award ceremony for the 2023/2024 recipients, which took place recently. At this event, 65 students from communities such as Abaji, Agbara, and Sagamu were awarded scholarships to advance their education.
