In his statement, Mr. Trump dismissed the circulating rumors as "inaccurate, untrue, and potentially illegal," suggesting they may have originated from "market manipulators or short sellers."
Following Trump's post, shares of DJT, the parent company of Truth Social, surged over 9% on Friday, although they had experienced a nearly 23% decline in the previous day's trading.
"There are false, untrue, and likely illegal rumors and/or statements being spread, possibly by market manipulators or short sellers, regarding my interest in selling shares of Truth. THOSE RUMORS OR STATEMENTS ARE FALSE. I HAVE NO INTENTION OF SELLING!" Trump declared.
He further urged that those responsible for initiating these false rumors or statements, particularly if they have done so previously, should be promptly investigated by the relevant authorities.
Additionally, Trump emphasized that Truth Social played a significant role in his electoral success, expressing his strong belief in the platform.
