Afrobeats artist Ayodeji Balogun, widely recognized as Wizkid, has set a new record for the highest number of opening day streams on Spotify Nigeria.

His previous collaborative R&B track with American artist Brent Faiyaz, titled "Piece Of My Heart," held the record with 1.016 million streams in a single day.

However, Wizkid's latest release, "Kese (Dance)," has surpassed this milestone, achieving 1.57 million streams on Spotify Nigeria.

Additionally, the song has made history by recording the largest opening day streams for an African track on global Spotify, amassing 2.753 million streams.

"Kese" serves as one of the lead singles from Wizkid's eagerly awaited upcoming album, "Morayo," which is set to be released later this month. The artist has dedicated this album to his late mother, Morayo Jane Balogun.
