In a significant achievement, the popular single 'Joro' has become the latest Afrobeats track to qualify for RIAA certification.

Released in September 2019, Wizkid's 'Joro' is now eligible for a gold certification from the RIAA after surpassing 500,000 units sold in the United States.

Since its debut, the song has experienced considerable success both in Nigeria and on the international stage, playing a key role in the global rise of Afrobeats.

Produced by Northboi, the track has garnered 125 million streams on Spotify and has become one of the most viewed Afrobeats music videos on YouTube, amassing 290 million views.

'Joro' further enhances Wizkid's impressive collection of RIAA certifications, solidifying his status as the most certified Nigerian artist in the United States.

The Grammy-winning artist is also the only Nigerian to hold a diamond certification in the US, attributed to his collaboration on Drake's 'One Dance'.

Wizkid's accolades include a 4X platinum certification for 'Essence' featuring Tems and 'Come Closer' featuring Drake.

Additionally, he has received gold certifications for 'Soco', 'Mood' featuring BNXN, 'Call Me Everyday' with Chris Brown, and 'Brown Skin Girl' with Beyoncé and Saint Jhn.

He is also among the four Nigerian artists with RIAA-certified projects, including his Grammy-nominated fourth album, 'Made In Lagos'.
