Emomotimi Guwor, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Chief Anthony Ofoni, Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, and Chief Mike Okeneni, representative of the Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom.

The atmosphere in Warri, Delta State, was festive on Thursday as Mr. Mayuku, who serves as the Board Chairman of the Delta State Security Trust Fund, received his brand-new Toyota Prado, marking him as the first winner of the promotion.

During a vibrant presentation ceremony at Gloworld, Delta Mall, attended by hundreds, Mr. Mayuku was handed the keys to his new SUV by Hon. Emomotimi Guwor and Chief Anthony Ofoni. The event turned into a lively celebration, featuring performances by the Ema Dance Troupe, as friends, admirers, and fellow Glo subscribers joined in the festivities.

At 57 years old, Mayuku, who won in the initial draw of the promotion held last Thursday, expressed his appreciation to Globacom. He recounted, “When I first received the call about winning the Prado in the Glo Festival of Joy promo, I thought it was a scam and told the caller not to contact me again. However, after a few minutes, I began receiving calls from friends, prompting me to reach out to my contacts at Glo, who confirmed the news. I was in disbelief and jokingly asked for the car right away. I was instructed to visit the Glo office for verification, and today, I have received the jeep. Globacom truly represents Nigeria and consistently delights its subscribers. They remain the best.”

Several fortunate winners also received tricycles (Keke), power generators, sewing machines, and grinding machines. Ovueve Efejiro, a resident of Ughelli who won a Keke, expressed his gratitude, stating, "I just won a Keke through the Festival of Joy promo, and I am very thankful to Glo. This Keke will be beneficial for my family, as my brother will use it for commercial purposes right away." Another winner, Felix Gabriel, who received a generator, thanked Globacom for consistently supporting Nigerians through its annual promotions.

During the prize presentation, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly and special guest, remarked, "Globacom is a network renowned for its generosity. Over the years, many Nigerians have benefited from Glo's initiatives. The residents of my constituency in Warri South West and the entire Delta community are appreciative of Glo. We will continue to use Glo, and I aspire to be a winner myself one day. I will ensure my line remains active and ready. Kudos to Glo and our own Dr. Mike Adenuga. Please continue empowering Nigerians."

Additionally, Mrs. Anwuli Efejuku, Head of Licensing and Operations at the National Lottery Regulatory Commission, Delta State office, praised Globacom for the promo's transparency. She noted, "We observed the raffle draw a few days ago here in Warri, conducted in the presence of everyone, and today the winners have received their prizes. Congratulations to all the winners."
