The responsibility of protecting widows lies collectively with the government, corporate entities, and individuals to ensure the rights and well-being of widows are upheld.
For nearly ten years, the CBA Foundation has been committed to advocating for widows, bringing their struggles to the forefront to inspire meaningful change.
The Foundation has consistently served as a pillar of support, providing assistance and empowerment to thousands of disadvantaged individuals. The challenges faced by countless widows across the nation must not be disregarded or ignored.
It is essential to establish more organizations like the CBA Foundation, equipped with clear frameworks and government backing, to significantly mitigate the prevalence of such preventable hardships.
Underprivileged widows often seek assistance from existing systems, yet they frequently find themselves without the necessary support.
CBA Foundation stands out as a unique organization, known for its integrity and transparency. When issues arise, they are addressed with a well-defined strategy, framework, and implementation plan to ensure effective follow-through.
Chinwe Bode-Akinwande, the Founder of CBA Foundation, recently organized a road walk titled Walk4Hope2024 on December 7, 2024, and has called on the government to consider various economic reforms that would alleviate the challenges faced by widows and the underprivileged.
Since its inception in 2015, the CBA Foundation has been making a positive impact on lives.
The foundation asserts: “We stand for #EndBrutality #EndDehumanisation on all grounds.

In a statement, Founder Chinwe Bode-Akinwande described the plight of these widows as a critical matter of dehumanization and vulnerability, emphasizing the urgent need for intervention. She called for immediate action, demanding accountability from those in authority and urging public oversight to ensure the timely implementation of effective solutions.
"These widows are dehumanised painfully. Nothing happens because they are vulnerable. These widows are maltreated, and nothing happens. This is the time to speak up, listen, represent right, and see through the solution we seek. We need to hear the plans, see actions, and what timelines are in place? Be bold to ask the public to track and hold those in authority accountable. "
Chinwe further emphasized the importance of elevating the voices and status of marginalized widows within society through collaborative efforts, empowerment initiatives, and capacity development, which form the foundation of our mission.
"We engage with widows via medical outreach programs, skill development training, distribution of food and clothing, and personalized counseling sessions. Additionally, we facilitate the reintegration of children of widows who have left school, providing support for their educational expenses."
Women Empowerment: We are committed to empowering women in skill acquisition.
Health Intervention: We support the sick and promote health and healthy living for humanity
Basic Quality Education: We support efforts to provide equitable access to quality education, "Chinwe emphasized.
Around 70% of our revenue is allocated to initiatives that support underprivileged widows, including business establishment, skill development training, medical outreach, food distribution, educational assistance for children, and advocacy efforts. Our financial records are current and can be provided upon request, stated Chinwe Bode-Akinwande.
