In response to the challenging economic conditions, FirstBank has launched its DecemberIssaVybe campaign through the First@arts initiative, featuring Kenny Blaq’s Musicomedy event titled “Reckless.” This campaign aims to provide a much-needed source of joy for Nigerians eager to celebrate and enjoy the festive season this December.

The initiative is designed to inspire and empower individuals to create memorable experiences by offering complimentary access to popular concerts, shows, plays, and festivals that showcase top-tier entertainers.

The highly anticipated campaign commenced on Saturday, December 13, at Onikan Stadium in Lagos, with the sponsorship of Kenny Blaq’s Reckless Musicomedy Festival.

For over 130 years, this leading financial institution has been deeply integrated into the community, significantly supporting festive concerts that feature Africa’s top music artists, such as Kizz Daniel, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Tiwa Savage, and many others, thereby crafting unforgettable experiences for music enthusiasts.

The DecemberIssaVybe campaign focuses on memory-making, providing a platform for both local and international audiences to enjoy distinctive experiences. Since its launch in 2018, the FirstBankIssaVybe campaign has consistently delivered thrilling moments that people look forward to each December.

Through interactive social media initiatives, FirstBank offered free tickets to young Nigerians and entertainment lovers eager to participate in the event.

The festivities, which began in the late afternoon and continued into the night, featured an unforgettable evening filled with laughter and music, showcasing performances from DJ Neptune, Kenny Blaq, Aproko, MC Monica, OvyGodwin, and others. Attendees reveled in a night of joy, dancing, and vibrant energy.

This exhilarating festival combines the lively realms of music and comedy, showcasing Africa’s remarkable creative entertainment landscape. In addition to established comedians, many emerging talents were given the opportunity to perform, receiving enthusiastic applause from the audience.

Comedian and singer Kehinde Otolorin, popularly known as Kenny Blaq, took center stage at the event, captivating the audience with an engaging blend of dance, music, and humor. Prior to the festival, he shared his vision, saying, “For me, music and comedy have always been closely linked, and I wanted to craft an event that showcases both in a distinctive manner. This festival invites everyone to embrace boldness and creativity while enjoying themselves.”

The festival's theme revolves around a positive take on recklessness, celebrating bravery, creativity, and authenticity. FirstBank contributed to the festive spirit with an interactive booth, where participants enjoyed trivia games, collected souvenirs, and captured memorable photos.
