The JeriQ Hood Concert's second installment, held on November 24, 2024, at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium in Onitsha, Anambra State, was a resounding success. The event, featuring hip-hop artist JeriQ, showcased a vibrant blend of music and culture, effectively demonstrating the artist's strong ties to his Igbo heritage.

Renowned for his relatable lyrics and steadfast pride in his background, JeriQ delivered a performance that was both dynamic and heartfelt. His songs, which delve into themes of resilience, ambition, and identity, struck a chord with the audience.

In an interview with Saturday Beats, JeriQ articulated the concert's significance for Nigerian hip-hop, stating that it challenged the established dominance of Afrobeat and successfully refuted the misconception that the eastern region is unsuitable for large-scale musical events.

He emphasized the event's personal resonance, representing a triumphant homecoming and an opportunity to inspire aspiring artists through his personal narrative of success.

The concert, he explained, served as a celebration of his journey and a testament to the region's potential to nurture talent. The collaboration with artists such as Blaqbonez, Bella Shmurda, and Sabinus further contributed to the event's success.
