Aero Contractors has implemented a minimum fare of N80,000 for domestic flights throughout the holiday season.

The Managing Director of the airline, Ado Sanusi, announced on Tuesday during a press briefing that the company is launching an initiative aimed at easing the financial strain on Nigerians during the Christmas and New Year festivities.

Sanusi stated that this program, which will continue until January 2024, reflects the airline's dedication to supporting its customers during the holiday season.

He remarked, “We recognize the economic challenges that Nigerians are currently facing, particularly with the rising cost of tickets, and we are aware that the holiday season is approaching.

“In the spirit of Christmas, Aero Contractors has rolled out what we refer to as affordable Christmas fares. These prices, starting at N80,000, will be available for all our routes, enabling Nigerians to travel without incurring excessive expenses.”

As of Tuesday afternoon, an economy ticket from Lagos to Abuja on Aero Contractors was listed at N99,643, while business class tickets were priced at N189,167.

Sanusi elaborated that the initiative was crafted to facilitate family reunions during the holidays without financial strain.

“This is our way, as a company with a longstanding commitment to serving Nigerians, to give back to our valued customers. We aim to enable families to connect with their loved ones during this festive period without the burden of high travel costs,” he stated.

He also reassured customers that despite the fare reductions, Aero Contractors would maintain profitability, having considered the current economic landscape.
