Actually Smart Summon enables users to call their Tesla cars to a specific nearby location and return them once they are finished using the vehicle, all through the Tesla app in familiar and predictable environments like private driveways and parking lots. It is important to note that the vehicle must remain within the driver’s line of sight during operation.
This feature will be accessible only to those who have subscribed to the company’s enhanced autopilot and full self-driving options.
Tesla began the rollout of Actually Smart Summon to vehicles in the United States in early September.
Additionally, in early September, Tesla announced plans to launch its full self-driving (FSD) driver assistance software in Europe and China by the first quarter of 2025, subject to regulatory approval.
Currently, FSD is restricted to the U.S. market and requires active driver supervision; however, Tesla is hopeful about achieving vehicle autonomy with future software updates.
