The state-owned company, based in Wuhu, reported a revenue surge of over 45%, amounting to 480 billion yuan ($65.52 billion), solidifying its position as China's leading car exporter with 1.14 million vehicles shipped to international markets.
This significant sales growth is expected to elevate Chery's ranking among global automakers, although many competitors have yet to disclose their full-year sales figures for 2024.
In comparison, rival Geely, which recorded sales of 3 million vehicles by November, announced this week its goal of reaching 5 million units by 2027.
Additionally, BYD indicated last month that it is on track to sell more than 4 million cars in 2024, aiming to surpass both Ford and Honda in total sales.
Chery is expanding its presence in Europe with new models under its Omoda and Jaecoo brands and plans to commence production with a joint venture partner in Spain later this year.
