American singer and actress Chloe Bailey has responded to speculation regarding a romantic connection with Nigerian music icon Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy.

This speculation arose following her recent visit to Nigeria, where she immersed herself in the country's rich culture and vibrant atmosphere.

During an interview on The Breakfast Club this week, the 26-year-old star, recognized for her role in Swarm, shared insights about her trip.

She expressed admiration for Nigeria's beauty and lively culture, highlighting her enjoyable experiences.

When inquired whether Burna Boy would join her at the NAACP Image Awards, Chloe humorously replied, “You have to ask him.”

As a member of the musical duo Chloe x Halle, she recounted her adventures in Lagos, stating, “Nigeria is so beautiful. I had the best time. I had some good food—I had pepper soup and lots of spicy chicken. It’s really good. I really had a great time,” she reflected.

Regarding Lagos' renowned nightlife, she noted, “Yes, the nightlife. There were so many lights and cameras.”

Rumors of a possible romance with Burna Boy emerged after her visit. However, when directly asked about their relationship status, she maintained her composure, saying, “Well, I am a grown woman. I had a great time in Nigeria.”

Following reports of Burna Boy being seen with another woman shortly after her departure, Chloe remained unfazed.

“He is a grown man, just like I am a grown woman,” she remarked, keeping things diplomatic.

Bailey clarified that despite the seemingly aggressive nature of the interaction, she holds no negative sentiments towards interviewers such as Loren Lorosa, who pose the occasionally intrusive questions that fans are eager to have answered.

“Honestly, I don’t mind. I mean, I hate to say this, but it’s my life. I mean, it’s what I [signed] up for [with this career], so I can only expect it. It’s just about how I handle it myself,” Bailey emphasized. “So I don’t think it should ever be pissiness towards the people who ask me.”
