Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha resumed team training on Friday after being sidelined for two months due to a thigh injury.

The club announced that Palhinha was "partially included" in the training session, indicating that his return to full fitness is nearing.

The 29-year-old has been unavailable for selection since sustaining a muscle tear in his thigh while on international duty with Portugal in November.

Since joining Bayern from Premier League club Fulham for a reported fee of 51 million euros ($52.5 million) in the summer of 2024, Palhinha has made 13 appearances for the team.

Currently, Bayern leads the Bundesliga table by four points and is set to face Ralph Hasenhuettl’s Wolfsburg on Saturday.
