Nigerian-born British boxer and two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has provided valuable insights on attaining billionaire status. He highlighted that achieving this level of wealth involves more than merely succeeding in sports or entertainment, as noted by Vanguard Newspaper.

As of 2024, Joshua's net worth is estimated to be around $83 million (£64 million), according to Forbes. He encouraged athletes and entertainers to move past the superficial appeal of fame and concentrate on the business dimensions of their careers to ensure long-term success.

Anthony Joshua shared his thoughts on Snapchat, stating:

“For anyone to reach billionaire status, it will not be through sports, music, or entertainment. Don’t get lost in the hype. Focus on sustainability, books, and business ethics.”

Only a limited number of entertainers and athletes worldwide have reached billionaire status, often through strategic initiatives beyond their primary careers. Forbes highlights that sports and music figures like Jay-Z, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James have attained billionaire status primarily through endorsements, product lines, and business ventures.

Although the sports and entertainment sectors present significant earning opportunities, history indicates that diversifying income sources and making informed investments are crucial for sustained wealth. Joshua’s message acts as a reminder for young professionals in these industries to emphasize financial literacy and sustainable practices over temporary recognition.
