The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has put out a serious advisory for Apple users, warning them about several security issues linked to outdated software. This alert is aimed at iPhones running iOS versions older than 18.3, along with older iPads, Apple Watches, Macs, and Safari browser versions.

These security holes could let attackers sneak in, run unauthorized code, bypass security measures, and even gain higher access levels on affected devices.

CERT-In has pointed out CVE-2025-24085 as a major vulnerability that’s already been exploited in real-world attacks.

Apple users are urged to update their devices right away to the latest software to reduce these risks.

Also, turning on automatic updates and steering clear of untrusted app sources can help protect against possible threats.

CERT-In has classified these vulnerabilities as “high risk,” warning that they could give hackers unauthorized access to personal data, disrupt services, or change information.

Both individuals and businesses could be impacted, according to the advisory.

Among the reported security issues, CERT-In has flagged CVE-2025-24085 as a critical flaw that has been “exploited in the wild.”

This vulnerability, known as a “use-after-free bug” in the Core Media component, stems from poor memory management. If exploited, malicious apps could gain elevated privileges on compromised devices.

Apple’s latest software updates for Macs, iPhones, iPads, and Apple Watches address these security vulnerabilities.

To minimize risks and defend against potential threats, CERT-In recommends that users update their devices to the newest versions.
