This collaboration was officially signed between NAPS National President, Comr. Eshiofune Paul Oghayan, and the Nollywood industry, represented by Queen Blessing Ebigieson, the 8th National President of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP).
In a statement released on Friday, NAPS National President Eshiofune Paul Oghayan remarked, “The high-level meeting concentrated on empowering students through structured partnerships that will offer practical experience in areas such as filmography, cinematography, production, costume design, modeling, and other creative arts disciplines.”
The NAPS President underscored the importance of generating more opportunities for polytechnic students, enabling them to acquire professional exposure through auditions, mentorship programs, workshops, and skill development initiatives within Nollywood.
He noted that this collaboration will provide students with skills relevant to the industry, promoting self-employment and career advancement in the entertainment field.
AMP President Queen Blessing Ebigieson expressed her support for the partnership, emphasizing her dedication to nurturing young creatives and ensuring that the entertainment sector actively contributes to youth development.
She committed to organizing programs that would link students with prominent Nollywood figures, enhance industry exposure, and create job opportunities.
Both organizations agreed to solidify the partnership through nationwide talent scouting, industry-focused capacity-building workshops, and internship placements designed to equip students with practical knowledge and experience in filmmaking and production.
This significant partnership underscores Nollywood’s dedication to national development and further positions polytechnic students as vital contributors to the creative economy.
