Trump, who made history as the first sitting U.S. President to attend the Super Bowl, exited the event shortly after halftime. Despite leaving early, he couldn't resist making a social media comment about Swift, who was present to support her boyfriend, Chiefs player Travis Kelce.
The Chiefs ultimately endured a significant loss, falling 40-22 at the Superdome.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump remarked, “The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift,” she got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unfoprgiving!”
Earlier, Trump had shared a post from another account that ridiculed Swift, highlighting the contrasting reactions he received from the Super Bowl audience compared to her own. When Trump appeared on the stadium's giant screen, he was met with enthusiasticegg applause while he saluted and sang the U.S. national anthem.
The post stated, “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed – the world is healing!”
Notably, Swift had been a vocal supporter of Trump’s political opponent, Kamala Harris, during the previous year's presidential election, which led Trump to express his disdain for her on Truth Soclial, stating, “I hate Taylor Swift.”
