The Brand Journalists Association of Nigeria (BJAN) is gearing up to commemorate World Consumer Rights Day on March 14, 2025, with a forum centered on sustainability. Under the theme *"A Just Transition to Sustainable Lifestyles,"* the event seeks to advocate for sustainable living practices and bolster awareness of consumer rights.

The celebration will be held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, commencing at 10 a.m. The program will feature a keynote address by Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, CEO of Kratos Sustainability Consults, alongside engaging panel discussions with prominent industry leaders.

Among the panelists are Oluseye Olugun, Sustainability and CSR Manager at Nigerian Breweries; Aderonke Aderinoye, Head of Sustainability and CSR at Guinness Nigeria; Victoria Uwadoka, Head of Corporate Communications and Sustainability Lead at Nestlé Nigeria; and Bankole Oloruntoba, CEO of Climate Change Nigeria (CIC).

Daniel Obi, Chairman of BJAN, emphasized that the event aligns with the association's mission to drive sustainability in Nigeria, in harmony with the United Nations' 17-point Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

"We are thrilled to have these distinguished experts share their insights," Obi remarked. "Their contributions will be instrumental in advancing sustainable lifestyles and strengthening consumer rights."

World Consumer Rights Day is an annual global initiative aimed at promoting consumer rights and awareness. This year's theme underscores the importance of sustainable lifestyles, urging consumers to make environmentally conscious choices.
