Organized by gospel singer Olufunmi Adebayo, the concert brought together renowned gospel artists, including Righteous Man, Ifeanyi Godwin, and Rev. Stephen Adewale, among others. Their soul-stirring performances filled the atmosphere with praise and worship, leaving attendees inspired and uplifted in their faith.
However, the event went beyond music. It also served as a platform for impactful community outreach. A free medical screening was conducted, with over 500 people tested for high blood pressure and diabetes. Those diagnosed with severe health conditions were referred to hospitals for further treatment. Additionally, essential food items were distributed to residents of Ajegunle, regardless of their religious background, ensuring that the event’s impact reached far and wide.
One of the most touching moments of the day came from Tinuike Onofowokan, who had been battling a severe leg condition. Olufunmi Adebayo stepped in to cover her N2 million medical expenses, a gesture that brought hope and relief to Tinuike. “People going through difficulties should not lose hope; help is always near,” Tinuike shared, expressing her heartfelt gratitude.
The concert also coincided with Olufunmi Adebayo’s 60th birthday. Addressing the audience via a live video call, she expressed her appreciation for the support and encouraged attendees to remain steadfast in their faith. She also emphasized the importance of caring for older people, urging families to prioritize the well-being of their elderly loved ones.
The ‘Jamming for Jesus’ concert once again proved to be a beacon of hope, faith, and community spirit, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
