Renowned media personality and longtime host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Frank Edoho, has confirmed that his second marriage to Sandra Onyenuchenuya has come to an end.

Opens Up on Podcast

Edoho made the disclosure during a candid interview on the Tea With Tay podcast, streamed on YouTube on Saturday. He spoke openly about his struggles with marriage and the challenges he faced in both of his unions.

“Maybe I’m not good at marriage, I must confess,” Edoho admitted during the discussion, acknowledging that despite his best efforts, his second marriage could not be saved.

Reflection on Love and Compatibility

The veteran broadcaster shared thoughtful reflections on the complexities of relationships, explaining his view of the difference between the “love of your life” and a “soul mate.”

“Love of your life is different from your soul mate. The love of your life is the person who comes to your mind when you think of love. But your soul mate is someone who understands you even before you express yourself and you naturally align with,” he explained.

On Giving His Best

Edoho emphasized that he gave his all in both marriages, making significant sacrifices for his partners.

“I know that I went above and beyond for the two marriages. I carried my partner… I can abandon everything. But you don’t blame someone if they fall out of love,” he said.

Referencing Kaka as an Example

To illustrate his point about how even good people can face relationship breakdowns, Edoho cited the case of retired Brazilian footballer Kaka.

“Take the footballer, Kaka for example, he’s a Brazilian and he looks as handsome as an Indian. Very handsome guy, even when he retired from football, he was still handsome. But his wife divorced him. Do you know what she said? ‘He is too good’,” Edoho recounted.

Background

Frank Edoho married Sandra Onyenuchenuya after his first marriage to Katherine Obiang ended in 2011. Despite the challenges in his personal life, he remains one of Nigeria’s most recognizable television personalities, celebrated for his long-running role as the host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.
