Nigerian musician Oluwatosin “Mr Eazi” Ajibade and actor Temi Otedola have celebrated their union in a series of breathtaking ceremonies spanning three countries and eight years of romance. The high-profile couple, who first met in London in 2017, marked their marriage with three distinct weddings, each reflecting a different facet of their relationship and shared heritage.



A Quiet Beginning in Monaco

The couple’s wedding journey began with an intimate legal ceremony on May 9 in Monaco. The date was significant, chosen to honor Mr Eazi's late mother's birthday. Temi, the daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola, chose a custom Wiederhoeft suit and Briony Raymond jewelry for the official signing at the Mairie de Monaco, while Mr Eazi wore Louis Vuitton. The couple described the day as "weirdly calm," a private moment with no fanfare or distractions in a place they consider a second home.

Following the ceremony, Temi changed into a black-and-white polka-dot Christopher John Rogers dress for a private Champagne toast at Villa La Vigie, the former home of fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld.









A Traditional Yoruba Celebration in Dubai

Two months later, the couple hosted a grand traditional Yoruba wedding ceremony at the Otedola family home in Dubai. The event was a vibrant display of Nigerian culture, with over 2,000 lanterns, dozens of chandeliers, and tropical greenery transforming the reception tent into a recreation of a "Lagos members club."

The bride, known for her fashion-forward style, showcased an extensive bridal trousseau featuring four bespoke outfits. For the main ceremony, Temi wore a custom Zac Posen dress and gele, a look the designer described as "almost like Nefertiti." Mr Eazi, styled by Jason Rembert, complemented her in a custom Lisa Folawiyo Studio look. The emotional ceremony was filled with cultural significance, from the tearful "last time" a daughter sits with her family before being given to her new one, to the moment Temi first called her new husband "my oko" (Yoruba for husband).

Later, the couple honored Mr Eazi's late mother's Igbo roots with a final outfit change. Temi wore a traditional akwa ocha fabric top and skirt by Lisa Folawiyo, while Mr Eazi wore a coordinating outfit from Mazelle. They danced the night away to performances by legendary Nigerian musicians King Sunny Adé and DJ Eude before heading to an after-party in a basement-turned-shisha lounge.


An Arctic Finale in Iceland

The wedding celebrations concluded in August with a dramatic and romantic white wedding in Iceland, a place the couple calls their "favorite place on earth." The festivities kicked off with a rehearsal dinner at the Harpa Opera House in Reykjavik, where Temi wore a Valentino dress and cape.

For the main event, Temi walked down the aisle of the Hallgrimskirkja church in an Audrey Hepburn-inspired Fendi Haute Couture gown, while Mr Eazi wore a head-to-toe Saint Laurent suit. The ceremony, officiated by their London pastor, aimed for a "darkly romantic and natural" aesthetic that mirrored the Icelandic landscape.

The reception was held inside a stunning glass tent at Kleif Farm, designed to bring the nature of Iceland indoors with elements like fog, moss, and volcanic stone. Guests dined family-style on dishes from the couple's favorite local restaurant, Oto. A highlight of the evening was a surprise performance by musician John Legend, a gift from the groom to his bride.

The festivities wrapped up the next day with an arctic beach party at the Hvammsvik hot spring, where guests enjoyed geothermal pools, Icelandic street food, and music. The grand finale came at midnight as the sun briefly set, revealing the Northern Lights.

The couple, who have consistently blended tradition with their unique style throughout their journey, told Vogue that their multi-wedding summer was a true reflection of their relationship. As Temi put it, "All throughout, we honored our rich culture but made sure everything felt like us."
