For nearly a decade, Pepsi has been one of the most vibrant brand partners of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), delivering unforgettable moments filled with music, creativity, and excitement. The ongoing 10/10 season was no different, as the cola giant once again lit up the house with its much-anticipated task.
The Pepsi Task, themed “Refresh the Streetz”, stood out as one of the most colourful and entertaining challenges of the season, marking the 18th brand task in the house.
A Celebration of Music, Vibes, and Style
The task paid tribute to Pepsi’s long-standing connection with Nigerian music by spotlighting songs from the brand’s iconic ambassadors, including Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, and Tekno.
Housemates were divided into four groups — Team Gbese, Team Jaye Jaye, Team Oleku, and Team Oblee — and challenged to deliver electrifying performances built around three core elements: Lyrics, Vibes, and Fashion.
With elaborate props, themed outfits, and a fully-decked stage, the challenge tested their teamwork, stage presence, and knowledge of Nigerian hits, while also giving fans a dazzling blend of music and dance.
Team Oleku Takes the Crown
While every group brought unique energy to the stage, Team Oleku — made up of Jason, Joanna, Dede, Zita, and Bright — stole the spotlight. Their performance checked all the boxes, with flawless lyrical delivery, infectious dance moves, and fashion-forward styling that kept both Big Brother and viewers engaged from start to finish.
From their seamless choreography to their creative use of stage props, the group showcased not only talent but also the power of collaboration. Their winning performance earned them bragging rights as well as a place in the season’s most memorable moments.
Pepsi’s Cultural Connection
Beyond the competition, the task reinforced Pepsi’s deep ties to Nigerian music and pop culture. By merging sound, style, and performance, the brand once again proved why its BBNaija activations are eagerly anticipated each season.
The “Refresh the Streetz” task wasn’t just about winning — it was about celebrating the synergy of music and fashion in shaping unforgettable experiences. For Team Oleku, however, victory was also a testament to how creativity and teamwork can lead to success on the biggest reality TV stage in Africa.
