Nollywood actress and medical professional Jemima Osunde has achieved another academic milestone, earning a Master’s degree in Public Health, marking her third academic degree.

The actress, who first trained as a medical physiotherapist, shared the news on Instagram, expressing pride in her ability to successfully juggle her demanding film career with her ongoing commitment to education and healthcare.

In her post, Osunde reflected on her journey of balancing dual passions — acting and medicine — a feat that began during her time as a student at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos (Idi-Araba).

“Why do I chase academic qualifications and a career in health care even with my existing career in entertainment? My simple answer is, why not?” she wrote. “I’ve always lived the best of both worlds. I combined the College of Medicine, Idi-Araba with a budding acting career, worked full-time at LUTH while still maintaining that career, and now I’ve completed my Master’s in Public Health while still being in your faces. Why have one when I can have two? I want it all.”

The actress, known for her roles in Shuga, New Money, and The Delivery Boy, also shared lightheartedly that she wanted to make her children proud someday.

“The other answer is just ’cause I want to tell my kids mummy has two heads,” she joked. “Very proud of myself. Shout out to my friends, family, and the team that got me ready for my grad.”

Osunde’s latest academic feat reinforces her reputation as one of Nollywood’s most driven and multidimensional stars — seamlessly blending artistry with intellect and inspiring a new generation to pursue their dreams across multiple fields.
