Social media has been abuzz with reactions to Nollywood actress Queeneth Agbor’s heartfelt initiative to celebrate her birthday in an unconventional yet compassionate way — by providing meals for 1,000 inmates at the Ikoyi Correctional Centre in Lagos.

The event, scheduled for October 9, 2025, is themed “Strength Beyond Walls” — a phrase Agbor says captures the essence of resilience, hope, and human dignity, even within confinement.

Speaking about her motivation, the actress, who has appeared in over 40 films and worked alongside several top Nollywood figures, said she wanted to mark her special day with a purposeful act that reflects gratitude and empathy.

“Through one meal at a time at the Medium Security Custodial Centre, with the theme ‘Strength Beyond Walls,’ we aim to share a message of hope and resilience,” she explained. “It’s the perfect way to mark a special day in a meaningful setting.”

The outreach, which blends charity and celebration, is expected to attract top Nollywood stars, as well as family members, associates, and well-wishers who have pledged to support Agbor’s initiative.

Her gesture has drawn praise online, with many commending her for using her platform to draw attention to the lives of inmates and the importance of compassion-driven philanthropy.

For Queeneth Agbor, the birthday project is more than a symbolic gesture — it is an expression of faith in the human spirit’s ability to find “strength beyond walls.”
